Happy Super Bowl Day! I don't watch the bowl. My hubby has had to work the past 6 years and I just don't get into it by myself. However, I love looking at all of the fun printable's and ideas for a party online. ;)
On Thursday I had asked our dear friends, The Cook/Shore's, to join us for lunch today. I had planned to make a wonderful and healthy meal. Until this morning. And I woke up thinking "Why shouldn't we be able to have a little Super Bowl fun as well". So the menu changed from Lemon Basil Chicken to food shots!
Pamela had a burger shooter pan so I stopped by there on the way back from Food Lion and picked it up.
So we had cheeseburger shots,
and hot dog shots,
even french fry shots!
I had the plastic grass leftover from T's Hungry Caterpillar Birthday party and thought it was a quick and easy way to decorate.
We also had Rotel Sausage dip and ranch dip (thanks Pam). For dessert I just picked up some Little Debbie cakes and used white icing to make them look like footballs.
It wasn't much. And I didn't take long to plan anything out but isn't that what life is all about, making these every day moments that normally would be passed up into life long memories. Life itself is a celebration and should be treated that way. We were so happy to have such wonderful friends in our home with us today so we celebrated that!
