Our love is MAGICAL...

I don't know about you but I love Dollar Tree. I get so much inspiration from there. I made a trip last week to pick up a few Valentines items and came across these fun games in the toy section.

I knew when I saw them I had my next date night plan! And all for $3! Who can beat that?!

I created an invitation and placed it in his mailbox for him to find this afternoon. I left it very general because I wanted to make sure YOU could use it also. He knew tonight was date night so this was just a hint of what to expect!

I set the scene by dressing in a black skirt and white button down to look like a magician. I laid out all of my Dollar Tree finds on a tray from my kitchen.

I preformed two of the tricks, the top hat and the boomerang illusion. For the top hat trick I pulled out a "Lover's Coupon" for him to have and use. And it is another one that you can print as well!

Then we took time to learn some of the tricks together. It was a short date because my sweetie wasn't feeling well but I am happy with the way it turned out. I am learning that any amount of time spent together without technology between us is time well spent!

***Please let me know if you try to use these. I have never uploaded anything to be printed and wasn't sure where/how to do it!***

First Date

For our first date for dating while married I planned for us to take a stroll down memory lane and recreate what we did on our first date ever!

We went to the same theater and saw this movie.... Which is awesome!

The we went and ate at the same place we did 10 years ago, Mi Pueblo. I even ordered the same thing, Chicken Nacho's!

Last thing we did was make a trip to Walmart. If you know us you know that we met for the first time in a Walmart parking lot. It couldn't be just any trip to Walmart though so we played "Walmart Bingo" while there! It worked out well because I had to pick up a few things for the house anyway.

I have to tell ya I didn't know how the night would go. Would my hubby think I lost my mind? Would we have anything to talk about? Would I call home 10 times? But it went better than expected!!! I even had my door opened for me! Which never happens. Lol! And we were like two teens on a first date stealing kisses and holding hands. I can't wait for next months date! Everyone should try dating their hubby. It's fun!

P.S. I am posting this from blogpress for the first time. Hope it works!!

Date of the Month Club

So, for Christmas one of my gifts for Josh was a membership to the "Date of the Month" club. Tonight we go on our first date. I knew that this first post would be picture heavy so I am going to break it up into two post, this first will show you how I gave him his gift and then later tonight or tomorrow I will tell you a little about our date. I got this idea from The Dating Divas. And a lot of my date ideas will come from there. The idea for the "Date of the Month" club came from several different websites that I don't remember (sorry!).

This is the way I gave him the gift. He had a box with Hershey Kisses, Hershey Hugs, Romance Reward Tickets, a welcome letter, a calender, and a mailbox (that I will paint this week).

The letter just explained everything. I found one online and just copied and pasted it and changed some of it to fit our needs. I wish I had saved the site I found the letter at. We will be doing one Night on the Town date and one Home Sweet Home date each month.

The mailbox  is for us to exchange little notes, tokens of affection, and other things in. We have already been exchanging notes and I sent him his invite for this months date in it. It is so sweet to walk in our bedroom and see the flag raised and know "you've got mail" ;). Tempe even looks at it and says "mailbox"!  I bought her her own for Valentines day at the dollar section of Target. I can't wait to dress this one up a little. I found this idea on Christmas Eve and ran to the mall, yes the mall, to Bath and Body Works to get it. I had seen them in there a few weeks earlier and wanted one and thought I might need it one day. But didnt buy it. Lol!

I can't wait for our date tonight. He has already been asking where we are going and what we are doing. LOL! I didn't tell him anything just printed up an invite that said to pick me up at 3 pm. :) I will share all the details next time!

**** Thanks to Picnik not so picture heavy*****
